25 Spline VCU Repair Service for 3000GT / Stealth / GTO

This is a remanufacturing service for the now-obsolete Viscous Coupling Units (VCUs) used in the AWD 5-speed and 6-speed transmissions found in the Mitsubishi 3000GT, Dodge Stealth, and Mitsubishi GTO.
After 30+ years of use, it's common for the original VCU to fail — especially after hard launches or output shaft failures — leaving your AWD system non-functional.
Unfortunately, Mitsubishi discontinued these units, making replacements nearly impossible to find.
So, we decided to fix that.
 
Our remanufactured VCUs may not have a factory look, but they perform like new — or even better. In fact, many original units could still be turned by hand if you had a good grip on the sun gear. Our rebuilt units? Virtually unmovable. That means more resistance, better torque transfer, and improved AWD performance.
We've already tested our first units in real-world conditions and the results are excellent. Reliable AWD is back!
 
Service Details:
This is a remanufacturing service - you must send us your 25-spline VCU core for rebuilding.
Once we receive your core, the standard turnaround time is approximately 2–3 weeks.
Please note: during periods of high demand, the rebuild time may extend by an additional 1–2 weeks.

If you don’t have a rebuildable VCU core to send in, you may purchase a pre-rebuilt unit instead.
To do so, please select the “I have no core” option from the dropdown menu when placing your order.
